Privacy Policy

Information Collection and Use

The Application does not ask for your email address or any other contact details, and you never create an account with the Service Provider. The only sign-in is Google Play Games, which the online leaderboards use to show your Play Games name. The Application does not use analytics or crash-reporting services.

Information connected to the Application is handled in the following ways:

• Game progress, items, and settings are stored only on your device. See "On Your Device" below.
• Google processes device and advertising information when ads are requested or shown. See "Advertising" below.
• Google Play processes purchase information when you buy or restore Remove Ads. See "Purchases" below.
• If you take part in the online leaderboards and are signed in to Google Play Games, your leaderboard scores, your Play Games name, and a player ID are stored with Google Firebase. See "Online Leaderboards" below.
• If you share a Daily Hang, Rush, or Duel result, the text goes only to the app you choose. See "On Your Device" below.
• If you email the Service Provider, your email address and the contents of your message are used to answer you.

The Application requests only these Android permissions:

• Internet and network state, so it can load ads, connect to Google Play Billing and Google Play Games, and show the online leaderboards.
• Advertising ID, so Google's ads SDK can use your device's advertising ID where you allow it.
• Google Play Billing, so you can buy and restore Remove Ads.
• Vibration, for optional haptic feedback, which you can turn off in Settings.

The Application does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files, and it does not send notifications.

Advertising

The Application is free to play and shows ads through Google AdMob:

• A banner on the home screen, level map, shop, settings, leaderboards, and result screens. Banners never show while a level, Rush run, or Duel is being played, and never during a Duel.
• Occasional full-screen ads, only when you leave a level you have won or start another Rush run from its score card, after a short "Ad break" notice. They never appear after a lost level, the Daily Hang, or a Duel, before the tutorial is finished, or at a highlight such as a new best, a gift ready to open, a finished chapter, or a new twist coming up next.
• Rewarded videos you can choose to watch for in-game benefits: taking back the piece that tipped the mobile, doubling your coins, a hint, 40 free coins up to three times a day, a streak freeze, 20 more seconds once per Rush run, or progress toward unlocking the Rainbow ornament set.

Buying Remove Ads turns off banners and full-screen ads, and rewarded videos stay optional. The Application asks Google to limit ads to content suitable for teens.

When ads are requested or shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as:

• Your device's advertising ID.
• Your IP address, which can indicate your approximate location.
• Device and operating system details, such as model, language, and screen size.
• Information about the Application and about how you interact with ads, such as views and taps.

Google uses this information to deliver and measure ads, limit how often the same ad appears, and detect fraud and abuse. Where you allow it, Google also uses it to show personalised ads. Google acts under its own privacy policy, linked in "Third Party Access" below.

Your Ad Choices

Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the Application uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for your consent before ads are requested. When those privacy options apply to you, a "Privacy choices" button in the Application's Settings lets you review or change your choices at any time.

You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your Android device settings. You can manage how Google personalises ads in My Ad Center.

In-App Purchases

Remove Ads is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details, and the Service Provider never receives your card or billing information.

To unlock Remove Ads, and to restore it with "Restore purchases" in Settings after reinstalling or on a new device, the Application receives confirmation details from Google Play. These include the product purchased, a purchase token, and an order ID. This check happens on your device. The Service Provider does not store purchase records on its own servers.

Ornament sets, paper themes, and chime packs in the shop are unlocked with coins earned in the game, and the Rainbow ornament set by watching optional rewarded videos, never with real money.

Online Leaderboards

The Application has online leaderboards for Rush (this week and all time) and for the Daily Hang (today), and a weekly ranked ladder: your Rush runs put you in a group of up to 15 players in your league, and at the end of each week you can move up or down a league. They are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings. Duels are played on one device and are never sent online.

To put your scores on the leaderboards, the Application uses Google Play Games services. If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the Application signs in automatically. Otherwise you can sign in from the leaderboard screen. Google Play Games gives the Application a one-time sign-in code, and Firebase Authentication uses it to confirm who you are and to read your Play Games name (your gamer name). The Application does not receive your email address or your Google password.

When you are signed in and finish a Rush run or your first clear of the day's Daily Hang, the Application stores the following with Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore):

• A player ID created by Firebase Authentication for your Play Games account, and your Play Games name.
• Your best Rush score for the week and of all time, with the number of pieces hung and the seconds played in that run.
• How level your first clear of the day's Daily Hang finished (its final tilt) and its stars.
• Your ranked league (such as Gold) and the week it applies to, and on your weekly Rush entry, your league and ranked group.
• The time each entry was last updated.

Leaderboard entries are public. Anyone using the Application can see your Play Games name, score, and league badge on each entry, and the players in your ranked group can see your place in it. Your league is worked out on your device from your group's standings at the end of each week. You can change your Play Games name in the Google Play Games app, and the Application updates your current entries the next time you sign in. If you don't sign in, your scores stay on your device and nothing is posted.

To run the leaderboards and prevent abuse, Google Play Games services and Firebase also process your IP address and technical details about the Application and its software version when the Application signs in, sends scores, or loads a leaderboard. Connections are encrypted.

Turning leaderboards off in Settings deletes your leaderboard entries, your ranked league, and your leaderboard player account from Firebase. If you turn them back on, the Application signs in again, you start again in the lowest league, and your best scores saved on your device are sent again. Scores that could not be sent, for example while you were offline or signed out, wait on your device until they can be sent.

Data On Your Device

The Application saves the following in its private storage on your device:

• Your coins, unlocked levels, and the stars and lowest final tilt for each level.
• Your Daily Hang results, recent daily history, streak, and streak freezes.
• The ornament sets, paper themes, and chime packs you own and use.
• Your settings, such as sound, vibration, and reduce motion.
• Your tutorial progress, such as the twists already introduced and the free hints left.
• Rewards from finished ads that have not been added yet, kept so a reward is never lost if the Application closes during an ad.
• Play stats, such as levels won, hints used, time played, Rush runs and bests, and Duels played.
• Whether Remove Ads is active, and counters that pace how often ads appear.
• Your Play Games name, your leaderboard player ID and its sign-in token, your best leaderboard scores, your ranked league and last week's result, and any scores waiting to be sent.

Apart from leaderboard scores (see "Online Leaderboards" above), this data is not sent anywhere, and it is excluded from Android device backups. It is deleted when you clear the Application's data or uninstall it. A Remove Ads purchase can still be restored through Google Play.

The Share buttons open Android's share sheet with a short text summary and a link to the game on Google Play: for the Daily Hang, the puzzle number, your stars, a row of coloured squares showing how level the mobile hung after each piece, and your streak; for Rush, your score, title, and place in your league when known; for a Duel, each player's round wins (players are shown as Player 1 to Player 4). The Application shares it only when you tap the button, and only with the app you choose. If sharing is not available, the summary is copied to your clipboard instead.

Legal Bases

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, information is processed on these legal bases:

• Your consent, for personalised advertising and for storing or accessing information on your device for advertising where consent is required.
• Legitimate interests in keeping the Application free, measuring ads, and preventing fraud, for non-personalised advertising.
• Performance of a contract, for delivering and restoring in-app purchases.
• Legitimate interests in running fair online leaderboards and preventing abuse, for leaderboard scores, your Play Games name, and your player ID. You can object at any time by turning leaderboards off in Settings.
• Legitimate interests in helping you, for answering messages you send.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Restrict or object to how it is used.
• Receive a copy of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Complain to your local data protection authority.

Apart from the online leaderboards, the Service Provider does not keep gameplay or advertising data. So you can act on most of these rights directly: turn leaderboards off in Settings to delete your leaderboard data, clear the Application's data, change your "Privacy choices", or use your device's advertising ID settings. If you ask the Service Provider about leaderboard entries, please include your Play Games name so your entries can be found. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have these rights:

• To know what personal information is collected.
• To delete or correct it.
• To opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
• Not to be discriminated against for using these rights.

The Service Provider does not sell personal information for money. Information collected by the ad SDK for personalised advertising may count as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out by turning off ad personalisation or deleting your advertising ID in your device settings, or by contacting contact@zipistudios.com.

Third Party Access

The Application relies on third-party services that handle data under their own privacy policies:

• Google Privacy Policy, which covers Google AdMob, Google's User Messaging Platform, Google Play Billing, and Google Play Games services.
• Firebase Privacy and Security, which covers Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, used for the online leaderboards.
• How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
• Google Play Terms of Service.

The Service Provider may disclose information it holds, such as support emails and leaderboard entries:

• As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process.
• When it believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect its rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
• With trusted service providers who work on its behalf, do not have an independent use of the information, and have agreed to follow this privacy policy.

International Data Transfers

Leaderboard entries are stored in Cloud Firestore in the European Union. Google, including Firebase Authentication, may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires safeguards for these transfers, they rely on recognised mechanisms. These include adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Data protection laws in other countries may differ from those where you live.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop the online leaderboards at any time with Settings, which also deletes your leaderboard entries. You can stop the Application from processing information by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes the data stored on your device, but it does not delete your leaderboard entries, so turn leaderboards off first. It also does not delete information Google has already received for ads and purchases, which Google keeps under its own policies.

Data Retention Policy

• Data on your device: kept until you clear the Application's data or uninstall it.
• Leaderboard entries, your ranked league, and your leaderboard player account: kept until you turn leaderboards off in Settings, or until the Service Provider removes old boards or ends the leaderboards.
• Support emails: kept for as long as needed to help you, and for no more than 24 months after the conversation ends, unless the law requires longer.
• Advertising and purchase information held by Google: kept according to Google's own retention policies.

Children

The Application is not directed at children under 13 and is not part of Google Play's Families program. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are below the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country, please use the Application only with a parent or guardian's permission.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent the Service Provider personal information, please contact contact@zipistudios.com. It will be deleted.

Security

Data saved by the Application stays in its private storage, which Android's app sandbox protects from other apps. Google's SDKs and the leaderboards use encrypted connections to communicate with Google's services. Firebase security rules only let a player change their own leaderboard entries. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but the Service Provider keeps the information it handles to a minimum.

Data Breach Notification

If a data breach occurs that affects your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you as the law requires. Where required, that notice will explain what happened and what is being done about it.

Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time, for example when the Application's features or services change. Updates are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Where the law requires it, the Service Provider will ask for your consent to material changes before they take effect.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-09-16.

Your Consent

Where processing is based on consent, you give it through the consent form and the "Privacy choices" option. You may withdraw consent at any time, and doing so does not affect processing that happened before you withdrew it.
